Search Marketing Firm Wins for SEO Expertise that Earned RE/MAX Triple Digit Conversion Growth through its Website Migration

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Sept. 24, 2013 – The Search Agency, a global online marketing firm and the largest independent U.S. search marketing agency, has been named winner of the Best SEO Campaign at this year’s OMMA Awards. The Search Agency’s campaign in partnership with RE/MAX was one of the winners selected from more than hundreds of entrants in the OMMA Awards, which celebrates the year’s most innovative and brilliant online advertising creative, campaigns and web sites across 66 categories within three disciplines. Other winners this year included brands such as Bank of America, Delta Air Lines, Volkswagen, Dove, Bing, HBO, Gatorade, Oreo, and more.

In the campaign, The Search Agency’s expertise in website migration helped life RE/MAX’s overall conversions by 150 percent and indexed URLs by 32 percent year-over-year. This marked the first time RE/MAX’s organic traffic out-performed its top competitor.

Alongside a complete and updated redesign for aesthetic and functional purposes, RE/MAX was looking to increase organic traffic. As such, The Search Agency was tapped to make sure it was a seamless migration from an SEO perspective. The Search Agency put together a comprehensive plan of action during the migration that included the creation and promotion of fresh content, an entire site audit, the integration of new technology platforms, and pertinent testing to optimize the site redesign and efficiently increase organic traffic.

Since many audiences use the RE/MAX site to perform research, including real estate agents, buyers, and sellers, for both local and national results, The Search Agency’s SEO team redesigned RE/MAX’s site architecture to create more efficient crawl paths for search engine spiders. With more than 100 million pages on-site, the team generated crawl paths based on user intent and past data that catered to how visitors organically navigate the site.
