Job Description

 

The SEM Analyst, will be an important member of a team focused on managing and developing search campaigns on behalf of The Search Agency’s clients. This position requires a candidate who has a solid foundation in paid-search tactics and strategies, and who excels in client service and analytics. The successful candidate will be a capable project manager and passionate about online marketing. The role requires a strong eye for detail and the ability to make decisions independently.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Serve as team expert for search engine marketing, The Search Agency’s tools and technology, account management, and analytics
  • Manage a book of business consisting of assigned clients’ online search marketing campaigns.
  • Be responsible for maintaining work integrity and accuracy
  • Analyze, recommend, and implement improvements to meet client online search marketing ROI/CPA objectives
  • Understand and manage client media-buying cycles, product/service update schedules, online marketing philosophy and goals, and target demographics
  • Produce detailed campaign performance analysis and PowerPoint presentations
  • Create, test and optimize keywords and messaging to maximize reach, awareness and new customer acquisition
  • Build relevant account structures to ensure relevant ad copy appears on relevant queries

 

Skills/Qualifications

 

The successful candidate must have:

  • Three to five years of online marketing experience focused on paid search
  • At least two years working in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field;
  • Strong Excel and MS Office skills
  • Experience working with a paid-search bidding-and-optimization platform
  • Strong analytical experience, including familiarity with an online analytics platform
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Professional demeanor

  • Maintenance of email distribution lists for each of the teams in Outlook

The Manager, Paid Search will be a company leader with an ‘editorial’ focus of creating, testing, and optimizing keywords and messaging for top-tier clients to maximize reach, awareness, and new customer acquisition. They will be responsible for building organized account structures for top companies to ensure relevant ad copy appears for all available SERP queries. The Manager, Paid Search position will be responsible for writing, testing, and reporting on all new SEM initiatives and taking charge of keyword development, organization, and analysis as it relates to the structure for presenting clients’ ads online.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Account Analysts, web experts, etc. to create unique and optimized search and text-based display campaigns.
  • Develop and organize keywords into a strategic campaign structure that puts client ads in front of highly relevant online searchers.
  • Work creatively and analytically to change underperforming SEM initiatives by addressing issues with landing page relevance, quality score, and account structure.
